CFL Annual Day 2011
02-Jan-2012
December 22nd, 2011, Centre For Learning: After two weeks of intensive preparations, the first of two big days had come. Because of the size of the audience, the whole show was performed twice, on two consecutive days, to guarantee everyone a good seat.
Every child of CFL would be on the stage tonight, performing in one of the 23 acts in front of a packed schoolyard. After an opening song by the whole school, the UKG group performed two songs and an english play, followed by the 2 & 3. After they had finished some of their performances, a group of the older girls of CFL, led by Subita teacher, danced a traditional Dhimsa dance.
There were more highlights to come up: After a funky western dance by the 2 & 3, the 4, 5 & 6 sang several songs and performed a Hindi play, and the older kids of CFL had studied a complicated dance routine and a long, bi-lingual play which comically dealt with the sustainability of education.
After the evening was closed by the whole CFL family singing one last song, people stayed for a little while to chat, while the kids celebrated the successful evening, dancing on the stage. It is safe to say that everyone enjoyed the night, and the next day, when the entire program was repeated, one could spot some familiar faces in the audience, who had been there just the night before.
Naturally we also recorded everything. You can view the pictures of the evening on our Photopage or you can watch the individual performances on our Youtube-channel.
