Adventures inspired by nature - two-day trip to Trails
09-Feb-2012
Last week, on Thursday the 2nd of Feb, the four, five & six, together with the seven and eight went on a trip to Trails, an adventure camp outside of Hyderabad. There was rock climbing, zip-lining, Burma Bridging, and a lot of trampoline jumping - and the kids, as well as the four accompanying teachers, loved it! Check out the Photos and read for yourself, what stories the kids have to tell:

After some time they took us to our tent. There we laid on our beds for a while. After that we went for rock climbing. I was feeling so excited. First Arif climbed and then I climbed. At the top I was going to slip down but I managed. After that I asked the uncle if I could do it again, and he said yes, I could but as last. In the end I didn't do it.
After that they said that after lunch we are doing zip line. There were no words to describe my excitement. Then we went to lunch. Lunch was delicious. In lunch we had all the nutrients. After that we went to the place of zip line.
I went first on the zip line. Before that Lukas and I had a fight that I will go first or Lukas will go first. I won in that fight, so I went first for zip line. When I finished dong zip line, I felt like doing it again and again, but they said no, one chance per person. After that we all had rides on the Australian trolley.
After that we all went down and played Werewolves of Lanka on the trampoline. When we were playing, except most of the werewolves, all were dead. After that we played kabaddi - the first match our opponents won, the second time we won. After kabaddi, we again went on the trampoline. Then we finally had a shower.
We thought about making a bonfire on the hill, near our tents. Instead of on the hill, we had a bonfire down. We didn't sing many songs near the bonfire. After that we ate our dinner, went to the trampoline for a bit and then went to our tent. In the tent we played Werewolves of Lanka again. After playing, we went to sleep. In the morning we woke up at 6 am and we went trekking. We went all along the jungle. We went to a small temple. There the temple was in the middle of a lake. We climbed a tree and Harsha, Arif and I, we swam in the water. There we saw a shocking thing: There was a stone-bar stuck in a tree!
After that we returned to Trails. We ate our breakfast and played on the trampoline for a while. After that, we went to do Burma Bridge activity. In that, there were three activities from those first two were easy, but last one was little hard. There is a trick to do that.
After that we came down. Then we played tug of war and we had a group race. There were planks of wood. We had to walk as a group with the planks tied to our feet.
After that we had a bath, came down, ate food and started playing on the trampoline. After that we went to a temple, there we had so much fun. We ate some snacks. We returned, and again, we played on the trampoline. After that we had another bonfire. Near the bonfire we sang some songs and at the side we played some music and danced. Then we had dinner and played another game of Werewolves of Lanka in the tent. Then we went to sleep.
We woke up early in the morning. We brushed and finished other things, than we came down. Again we played on trampoline, had breakfast and then went home, by car.
The whole trip was like we were addicted to the trampoline and i learned how to flip on the trampoline."

Harsha wrote: "We stayed in Trails for two days. it was very exciting. We did zip line, Burma Bridge, rock climbing, tug of war and the planks. I enjoyed jumping on the trampoline, but later got bored. There were four teachers and about 20 children. We travelled in a Qualis and an Innova. We went trekking through the jungle and saw dears and peacocks. We were very exhausted because of the trek and I was wet with my sweat. We went to Ranagunda and I swam in the water. I was so hungry I ate six idlis. We all liked the trampoline.
So on Saturday we went back home. I enjoyed the trip. While trekking i was always in the front and I am very proud of that. I disliked the bonfire and always felt like going away. I am happy and proud of myself for I was in my best behavior at all times.
Most of the activities were very easy and that is good. In food I liked the Bundi sweet and hot milk. Over all I think I am lucky for having four days of continuous fun and excitement. Now I am very much satisfied."

There was a person called Raju, he showed us the tents. Our tents were high on the mountain. It was difficult to climb the mountains. At last we reached our tents. We did roc kclimbing, after relaxing in our tents. Rock climbing was very difficult. When I saw that, I thought that it was more or less easy to climb, but it was very difficult. i thought, that I would complete it, but I didn't. I almost reached, but at the last movement my legs slipped, and then I came down.
We did zip line after that, it was very enjoyable and thrilling. I enjoyed it a lot. They will tie a belt to us and lift the belt with a rope which is tied to a wheel on the rope which we should travel. There was also a cycle handle tied to the rope. We should hold the handle, but it's ok, if we don't also.
Before that we also travelled in Australian trolley. It was almost same as zip line. After enjoying a lot, we went down and ate lunch. The food was very tasty. We again started playing on the trampoline after lunch. Actually, after lunch, we did zip line and Australian trolley. Our clothes became dirty, so I decided to take a bath.
After a fresh bath we again went down near the bonfire. Teachers told to sing songs but we didn't know which song to sing and we didn't want to sing also. That time I was very scared, because teachers will feel bad if we don't sing. After a long time we decided to sing "Kolaveri Di". It was enjoyable but also not much. Then we ate our dinner. As usual, the food was tasty. After that, again we played on the trampoline and we also played Werewolves of Lanka. We all played three or four games and then we slept.
It was morning, we woke up at around 6:00 am. I got fresh and then we started to go trekking. I thought that we will return in one hour, but we walked for 22km without eating our breakfast. It was very hard. Deepak Anna, Mary, Vikas, Gayathri and me were late. At last we reached Trails.
After the breakfast it was time for climbing the Burma Bridge, We have to walk on a single rope and there are two ropes for support. There were two metal wires. There is a little gap between them. What we should do is holding the top rope and walk on the bottom rope. I was a little scared while doing that, but I did it. There were swings hanging, we should pass on them. This was also very hard for me.
After that we did racing and then we played one game. After a bath we all walked down to lunch. Then we went to a temple. It was nice. There we saw a bat and a peacock. We sat there some time and ate parodies. After coming back, we played on the trampoline and then again sat near the bonfire.
After our dinner we went to play Werewolves of Lanka in our tent. After playing, we slept. In the morning, we got fresh, ate breakfast and started there. While coming, also we played werewolves of Lanka."

We slept in a tent, next day morning almost at 7 or 7:30 am we went trekking. I didn't drink any water and didn't eat anything. I walked in the forest without any rest. Almost at 10:30 am I ate my breakfast. I ate six idlis.
After that we did some rope walking. There was an activity of drum walking but I didn't do that. The other activity we did is balance board. I went almost one fourth or a little less, then I got scared and I came down. At night we had a bonfire, also we thought of dancing, but we didn't. We sang two or three songs, then we went in the tent. One day before, when we were coming back at night, we played a lot of trampoline, until ten o' clock.
And next morning we played a lot, then ate breakfast and we came by listening songs and dancing near the car.
We enjoyed the camp a lot and I want to do it again."
